My twirling journey started in 2008 with Capricorn Majorettes of Hoddesdon, and from the moment I walked into my first training session aged 4, I was hooked. I have been lucky enough to have amazing trainers as well as incredible role models who have taught me well and encouraged me to reach for the stars. I am honoured to have been asked by Jody and Sam to carry on this legacy and help develop the MTU twirlers of the future alongside my fellow Twirling Consultants.
I have previously twirled at Super Championship standard with the UKFM, and held all of their grades. My favourite piece of equipment is Mace although to be fair as long as I’m twirling I’m happy.
Some of you will know me as a familiar and friendly face already and I’m looking forward to getting to know the rest of you. Feel free to come and say hello if you see me and even ask me about a move or two. I’m always happy to help a fellow baton bug.
Since my twirling journey began in 1998, twirling has always been more than just a hobby for me. Therefore, becoming a trainer, judge and instructor are some of my proudest achievements. I love being part of other peoples’ journeys and enjoy watching them grow in confidence each time they compete. I have personally achieved many UK National Overall titles including placing in Supreme Twirler and Supreme Duo. I have performed in Scotland and at the UK Banger Racing Championships. I have made some of my best friends through twirling and enjoy seeing others make special connections and friendships through their love of the sport. I am looking forward to guiding more twirlers through this exciting new journey as a Twirling Consultant for the MTU.
I began twirling in 1990 and have been hooked ever since. During my time as a twirler I have been lucky enough to learn from many experienced twirlers from a range of countries. I have trained as a judge, instructor and examiner and enjoy passing on my knowledge to the next generation and celebrating their success. My favourite competition has always been Gold Baton. I love that it combines so many skills into one routine. Ever since 2011 I have been part of the training team of Ice Illusions and am so proud of what we have been able to achieve, including Overall Troupe in each organisation we belong to. I am very much looking forward to supporting the continued evolution of our sport as part of the MTU team.
I started twirling when I was 4 years old. At the age of 13 and with the support of my Mum, we set up Starlight Twirlettes together. Over 20 years later and after training over 200 different girls and boys, I am excited to have become a Twirling Consultant for the MTU. Majorettes has been more than just twirling for me; it has enabled me to build life-long friendships, it has allowed me to watch my daughter grow up enjoying twirling as much as I did as a little girl and has enabled me to be a part of many girls and boys childhood memories.
At the age of 7 I saw a majorette troupe perform at a school fete and since that moment my love for the sport grew. During my twirling journey not only have I made friends forever, won various awards and gained many skills in both twirling and life but i have had the honour to perform throughout the UK, represent as colourguard and follow my dream of becoming a Judge too! Majorettes will forever be in my life and a part of who I am despite the challenges we face. Becoming a para consultant is an exciting new adventure in my majorettes career and I’m excited to use this new step to allow even more people to experience the joy I have over the years in this sport.
I joined the Ipswich Silver Spinners just before my sixth birthday and have barely put my baton down since - some would say twirling is in my blood! I've competed over many years and achieved several major awards and overall titles including mace, flag, ribbon and wheel champion. Baton twirling has allowed me to create lifelong friends, whist developing resilience, determination and team work.
I love passing on skills to younger generations and seeing them flourish and enjoy this sport as much as I do.
I first started twirling when I was 2 years old. From the minute I picked up a baton, I’ve never put it back down! Over my 19 years of competing, my greatest achievement was being able to compete alongside and duo with my two sisters. Baton twirling has allowed me the opportunity to develop my confidence, creativity, leadership and communication. I have loved every second of my twirling career and I am so proud to be able to continue this with MTU.
The start of my majorette journey is probably weird compared to most, I went to 1 training session as a joke in 2007 with my sister and now the rest is history. Various competitions helped me with my confidence as well as meeting people who pushed me, which led to me finding home in Chelmsford Crystals in 2013. Since being there I have gone from being a beginner twirler to a championship twirler and being able to be my true self.
I started twirling back in 1982 when I was just 3 years old. My love for baton twirling just grew and grew. I become a Trainer for Elm Park Twirlers when I was 18 and absolutely loved teaching the art of baton twirling. It was my passion to help others improve and most of all enjoy this sport. I took over the running of Elm Park Twirlers in 2015 which changed to E.P. Star Twirlers. Baton twirling is a team effort and it’s been a joy watching everyone grow, make good friends and become more confident. This is not just a sport, it’s an extended family. Over the years I've also achieved many awards and became a judge. I still compete myself as my love for twirling has not disappeared and I think it’s good to show others that no matter what age you are, if you enjoy it, you can still do it!!!
I have been doing majorettes for 20 years, being Ice Illusions longest standing member. I am proud to have so many achievements over this time but I feel most lucky to have shared this with my sister and to have made so many special friends along the way. Over the past few years I have been training our Juniors. I love inspiring the younger girls to try more challenging moves to prove to themselves they are capable of achieving amazing things with practice and determination.
